(戦国時代)
Sengoku-Jidai
戦国時代 - The Age of Civil Wars -The Sengoku period in Japan (1467-1615) is one of the time periods we associate most with samurai. It is a time period that is largely featured in movies, tv shows, books, etc. The Sengoku Period was the "Age of Civil Wars" as many wars were fought within Japan over territory borders.Sengoku-Jidai the band captures the essence of this time period through the lense of modern day rock n roll. Instead of fighting with swords on the battle field, these warriors fight with instruments on the stage.
Sengoku-Jidai is a Visual Kei (or VKei) band. VKei is a broad genre of rock music in Japan, that emphasizes the importance of visual elements in music and performance. VKei is an umbrella term that covers a wide variety of music and fashion styles.Sengoku-Jidai's style (both visually and musically) combines traditional Japanese elements with modern rock elements.
Stage outfits are based on traditional clothing, with modern twists.
Music contains traditional Japanese instruments, musicality, and lyrics tell traditional tales - combined with modern rock guitar, bass, and drum techniques, and powerful rock vocals.
Sengoku-Jidai bring the Sengoku Era to life in modern times.
